USM relishes putting trusty Dozier on roster

Were it anyone else, you would worry about messing with karma, making a Southern Miss roster change at this late date.
But with Brian Dozier, it’s a no-brainer.
Doesn’t matter if he can’t make the throw from shortstop to first. Doesn’t matter if he hasn’t hit game pitching since April 14. Doesn’t matter that USM has won the most important games in school history without him.
If Dozier, one of the most outstanding players and people to ever wear the black and gold, can play and contribute, you activate him.
