The Mountain West’s attack on the BCS is flawed
It’s so easy to jump on the ride now. So easy to stand tall and pound your chest and demand wrongs be righted because it’s all so plain to see.
Only it isn’t.
The absolute worst thing the Mountain West Conference could’ve done in the aftermath of Utah’s stunning victory over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl was force the BCS inclusion issue alone.
Commissioner Craig Thompson announced last week that he will send a “proposal for change” to the BCS, stating the MWC’s recent success and desire for an automatic bid to the BCS bowls.
“It has been building to this point,” Thompson said.
