Rebels look for another shocker

Three weeks ago, the Ole Miss Rebels traveled to Gainesville, Fla., as a prohibitive underdog to fourth-ranked Florida. They were coming off a tough 23-17 loss to Vanderbilt and were given almost no shot at The Swamp.

Ole Miss stunned the Gators 31-30, sealing the victory with a fourth-down stop of Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow.
The Rebels get a chance to do the same thing today, with a road trip to play sec- ond- ranked Alabama (6-0, 3-0 in the SEC). This time, Ole Miss (3-3, 1-2) is a 13-point underdog, even though the Rebels have won only once in Tuscaloosa.

“(Alabama) does a great job, especially on defense,” Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt said. “They chase the ball. They do a very good job of not giving up anything big. Offensively, they do a very good job of running the ball and are very physical. They have a physical back (Glen Coffee) and an excellent receiver in Julio Jones.
