Southern Miss announced today that it is at 10,683 season tickets sold as of Thursday morning, surpassing the previous mark of 10,543 set in 2007.

“The response from our fan base in regards to the upcoming football season has been fantastic in terms of our new coaching staff and the new premium seating options that we now have in place at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium,” Southern Miss Director of Athletics Richard Giannini said. “Our season ticket numbers, as well as our Eagle Club memberships, are at an all-time high as we get ready to start one of the most exciting seasons in Golden Eagle history.”

Giannini also said that tickets are still available but urged fans to get them early.

“We feel that it is going to be tougher to get a ticket to see the Golden Eagles play this fall as we expect to sellout most of our games,” Giannini added. “We encourage our fans that have not gotten tickets yet to go ahead and do so to make sure they get an opportunity to see all of our exciting game-day atmosphere as well as some great football.”

The total distribution of season tickets to date, which includes sponsors and students, currently is at 23,286.
