Moss Point voters helped Thad Cochran flip Jackson County, precinct results indicate
“Why did Jackson County flip?” said state Sen. Michael Watson, one of McDaniel’s closest allies. “What I saw was the amount of money, time and resources (Cochran’s camp) poured into Jackson County and the whole coast to convince people that the three coastal counties would fall into the Gulf of Mexico if Chris was elected.”
Targeting Democrats also paid off for Cochran, Watson said.
“I didn’t like that a Republican would try to win a Republican primary outside of Republican voters,” he said, “but they pulled it off.”…
