Pickering after Circuit Clerk who surpassed state law with $400,000 salary
State Auditor Stacey Pickering has issued a demand letter for $661,751 to Warren County Circuit Clerk Shelly Ashley-Palmertree.
Pickering says in a news release that $402,033 is attributed to Palmertree’s salary exceeding the fee cap set in state law. He says another $163,700 is attributed to her making payments to her father and predecessor in office, Larry Ashley.
