Gov. Bryant’s goals for 2013 focus on improving education
Gov. Phil Bryant Friday unveiled his education proposal for Mississippi that aims to improve literacy among children, reward teacher excellence and give parents a choice of schools through statewide open enrollment and charter schools.
Bryant announced his proposals for the 2013 legislative session during an event at North West Rankin High School in Flowood, Miss.
“In the last legislative session, we focused on strengthening Mississippi’s business climate in order to spur job creation. This year, we must be serious about improving our education system,” Bryant said.
