Sen. Cochran honored for free enterprise

He many not have been in attendance, but a forum Tuesday morning in downtown Jackson shined a spotlight on one of Mississippi’s national leaders.

U.S. Senator Thad Cochran was touted as putting Mississippi on the road to achieving economic and financial literacy.

Put on by the Mississippi Council on Economic Education hundreds of business, governmental and educational leaders were on hand hearing what strengths the state needs to capitalize on and where more focus should be placed.

“Economic and financial literacy are increasingly important tools for anyone to have,” said State Director for Sen. Cochran, Brad Davis.
