Herring – CL redistricting reporting off
Respectfully, the editorial (“Redistricting: Politics out of control,” March 25) and numerous other articles on legislative redistricting recently written by your reporters, show clearly that you have lost your way in fairly presenting the redistricting process to your readers.
In addition, from a professional point of view, you have totally missed one of the great stories on Mississippi political history of your lifetime.
For the first time in modern Mississippi history, there are enough Republicans in the Legislature to have a meaningful debate between Republicans and Democrats on how legislative redistricting (which occurs only once every 10 years) should be accomplished.
