Greg Snowden – The Ides of March
Momentous events have been known to occur when the Senate meets on the Ides of March. As you recall, Julius Caesar certainly experienced a very bad morning there in 44 B.C.
An historic vote will take place this week in the upper chamber of the Legislature. Perhaps Tuesday (the Ides); if not, then surely before week’s end.
As early as Monday afternoon, the House will consider Joint Resolution 201, the plan to redraw Senate districts. Not much drama there, because the Senate has pretty decisively embraced the plan crafted by Sen. Terry Burton (R-Newton), and the House readily will go along.
