Republican Dave Dennis Qualifies for Governor
This morning, Gulf Coast businessman Dave Dennis submitted his qualifying papers to the Mississippi Republican Party to be a candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor of Mississippi. The Republican Primary Election is August 2, 2011.
“I believe my private sector experience, business leadership, and conservative values are necessary for Mississippi’s next governor to create jobs, improve education, and make meaningful reforms to government. I look forward to sharing my vision to build a stronger Mississippi with voters over the coming year. We’ll have a campaign kick-off tour at a later date, but as of this morning, I’m officially in to win,” said Dennis.
Dennis, president of the Gulf Coast contracting company Specialty Contractors, has served as Chairman of Leadership Mississippi, Chairman of BIPEC, Finance Chairman for the Mississippi Republican Party, and three terms as Chairman of the New Orleans Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Board, appointed as a representative from the business community.
