Democrats Huddle in Meridian

All of the major Democratic candidates for statewide office in Mississippi were invited to a Democratic get-together in Meridian Tuesday night at The Gathering Place at 2113 Front Street.

In just one week, Mississippi voters will go to the polls. Statewide elections are Nov. 6.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate, John Arthur Eaves, Jr., and lieutenant governor candidate Jamie Franks were expected to headline the event.

Local Democratic candidates also took part.

The session was sponsored by the Lauderdale County Democratic Party.
