Attorney General Jim Hood announced that more than 40 sheriffs and several district attorneys across the state have endorsed him at a news conference this morning.
Hood, a Democrat, will face Gulfport attorney Al Hopkins, a Republican, at Tuesday’s general election.
“My first priority is enforcing the law and protecting Mississippi families,” Hood said. “All of us in law enforcement depend on one another to make that happen, day in and day out.”
