Mississippi’s governor, Haley Barbour, is ordering all flags on state buildings to be flown at half staff to honor the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks on America.
Tuesday is the sixth anniversary of the attacks that killed about 3,000 people in New York, at the Pentagon and in rural Pennsylvania.
President Bush has ordered that flags be lowered at federal buildings.
