It started out as a very heated campaign event, until the clouds rolled in and a cooling breeze stirred, but the rhetoric was civil, if spirited.
Some 60 candidates ranging from those stumping for offices from constable to governor were on the roster for the Amory Main Street Political Rally 2007 on Saturday afternoon at Frisco Park. Master of ceremonies Michael Freed congratulated those in the audience, noting their presence showed their sincere interest.
