Republican State Auditor Phil Bryant and GOP state Sen. Charlie Ross joined Democratic state Rep. Jamie Franks in a spirited debate Saturday at the Mississippi Press Association’s annual convention in Biloxi.
While much of the debate centered on the issues on which the three candidates agree – like the concept of appointed rather than elected school superintendents – one difference the trio exhibited was on how they’d go about selecting Senate committee chairpersons.
