Delbert Hosemann, a Republican candidate for secretary of state, said Tuesday in Southaven that he supports a recent federal court decision requiring Mississippi residents to have voter registration cards in primary elections.
Hosemann, hot on the campaign trail throughout the state, met with local circuit court officials during a DeSoto County stop to discuss how the recent ruling would affect the court and area voters.
“This is one of the most important rulings in Mississippi on voting since the Voting Rights Act of 1965,” Hosemann said.
