Phil Bryant Continues His Fight Against Illegal Immigration
As the U.S. Congress is now considering legislation regarding with illegal immigration, Phil Bryant urges Mississippians and our congressional delegation to oppose any legislation that grants amnesty to illegal immigrants. Having released an official auditor’s report more than a year ago detailing how illegal immigration costs Mississippi taxpayers $25 million a year-at a time when many elected officials remained silent on the issue-Phil Bryant continues to be Mississippi’s leader in bringing the issue to the forefront. Despite the Mississippi Legislature’s failure to act on legislation that would have stopped businesses who contract with the state from hiring illegal immigrants, Phil will continue working to stop illegal immigration in Mississippi, and as Lt. Governor, no one will be a stronger leader in fighting illegal immigration and its negative effects on our state.
