Some random thoughts while waiting for this beautiful Mississippi spring to turn into the blistering hot summer of mean politics:
The best race this summer by far is the race for lieutenant governor, and specifically the Republican primary.
This is a true GOP competitive primary between two well-financed, well-known elected officials and party insiders – State Auditor Phil Bryant and state Sen. Charlie Ross.
