Lott, running down a list of Democratic campaign promises for 2006, claimed they have either stalled between the House and Senate, have not been taken up by the Democratic leadership of the Senate or are expected to draw a veto from President Bush.
“Just this week, we passed the stem cell research legislation, which the President assured the congress he will veto,” Lott said. “Implement comprehensive energy policy – where’s it been? What’s happening?”
“I urge our colleagues in the Senate, the Democrats, now that you’ve made your statement, let’s go to work and get some things done,” Lott said.
