Award-winning country singer-songwriter Matt Rogers is bringing his signature blend of authentic storytelling, modern country sound, and high-energy live performance to Greenville this fall, where he will take the stage at the Delta Hot Tamale Festival on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Rogers will perform on the Main Stage presented by Regions Bank, opening for The Band Perry during one of the Delta region’s highly anticipated annual celebrations.

Matt’s upcoming Delta Hot Tamale Festival appearance adds another stop to a rapidly expanding touring résumé and gives Mississippi audiences the chance to experience Rogers’ music firsthand. The performance comes on the heels of a major year for Rogers, who recently expanded his reach overseas with a European tour across Switzerland and Denmark. The international run followed the release of his newest single, “Ain’t Ever Been a Cowboy,” which has received attention from outlets including Whiskey Riff, NBC’s Today in Nashville, Saving Country Music, and WSM Grand Ole Opry Radio.

Matt is a Georgia-born-and-raised country singer, songwriter, and storyteller built on three main premises: tell a good story, tell the truth, and make people feel something. Matt enjoys building a special connection with his audiences, and that has resulted in a loyal fan base, as well as multiple awards, including recognition from the Nashville Songwriters Association International, CMT, American Songwriter, Music City SongStar, Songwriting University, and the USA Songwriting Competition.

But for Matt, it’s not about the awards. Instead, he focuses on the songs, drawn from the sounds that influenced him – country, Southern rock, Motown, classic rock, and oldies. “I like the great songwriters that know how to turn everyday life into something worth singing about.”

His songs range from humor to heartbreak, and draw on personal experiences. His music has given him the platform to connect to causes important to him. His song, “Camouflage,” was written after the loss of a friend who took his life after leaving military service. To lighten things up, Matt also performs funny songs that have become crowd favorites. He wants to write songs worth remembering and give people a reason to remember the night they heard them. A fan-favorite tune is “Grandma’s House.”

On the road, Rogers has shared stages with some of country music’s biggest names, including Chris Stapleton, Walker Hayes, Clint Black, Clay Walker, Cole Swindell, and Brothers Osborne. Most recently, he opened for Brooks & Dunn at WE Fest, adding another major festival appearance to his growing touring résumé, and he appeared on the Grand Ole Opry Summer Plaza stage.

Now, Rogers is bringing that momentum to the Mississippi Delta for a performance that promises to deliver the authentic country music and engaging live show that have helped him build a rapidly expanding fanbase.

The Delta Hot Tamale Festival will take place Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Downtown Greenville. In addition to great music, festivalgoers can expect plenty of authentic Delta hot tamales and a celebration of the region’s distinctive culture and hospitality.
