Moore seeks AG’s input on radio flap issue
Jackson’s police chief plans to seek a state attorney general’s opinion on the necessity of competitive bids for a radio system overhaul as the Hinds County Board of Supervisors is ready to tune out his appeal.
The Hinds County Emergency 911 Council last week denied Robert Moore’s request for up to $8 million for the change in the city’s public safety communications system. Moore said then his next step probably would be to go directly to supervisors, who have final say on releasing the funds.
Moore later said through his spokesman Robert Graham that he planned to seek the attorney general’s opinion.
