There’s a week left for Tate Reeves to drum up excitement and to encourage voters to turn out again.

…Reeves believes his platform and policy views are resonating with voters.
“The fact that my opponent is for ObamaCare expansion. The fact that my opponent wants to raise taxes and those are issues that are so different than the vast majority of Republican voters across Mississippi. It is really something that has energized our base. It’s energized people throughout Mississippi.”

Speaking of education, Mississippi has spent $400 million more on education since Tate Reeves was elected Lieutenant Governor. And every teacher is making at least $8,000 more than they did in 2011.
But ole Tater is anti-education, right?
We’ve seen these same liberal tactics used on President Trump. Say anything and hope it sticks. Trump, who has endorsed Reeves, calls that “fake news.”
Reeves ran as a fiscal conservative 16 years ago and has governed as a fiscal conservative every, single day since. He’s cut taxes, prioritized spending and said “no” to special interests.
Reeves has a proven track record. Mississippi is moving forward with low unemployment and new job opportunities, record graduation and lower dropout rates.

Philip Gunn, speaker of the House of Representatives, released a statement after a George County Justice Court judge found McLeod not guilty after being accused of punching Michele McLeod in the face at their home in May.
“The whole situation is still very concerning, not only to me, but to many other members of the House of Representatives,” Gunn said in a press release. “The court may have found Representative McLeod not guilty, but as a member of the Mississippi Legislature to find yourself in this situation — it is still an issue.”
