Secretary Watson provides mid-day updates on primary election

By: Sarah Ulmer - June 7, 2022

Today, Mississippians are heading to the polls to cast a ballot for the June 7 primary elections. The races include all four of Mississippi’s Congressional District seats.

Secretary of State Michael Watson spoke with Y’all Politics regarding this morning’s turnout and what to expect to see regarding voter attendance for a June primary not during a major general election year.

Watson reminded voters that polls will be open until 7:00 p.m. and as long as you are in line by that time you will be allowed to vote. Be sure to bring a valid form of government issued ID in order to vote.

If you’re not sure where you are registered to vote please visit the Secretary of State’s polling locator to find out. You can do that HERE.
