Gov. Reeves’ father among six selected to cast Mississippi’s electoral votes in December

The six individuals who will cast Mississippi’s electoral votes on December 14 have been selected.

As reported by WLBT  who confirmed with Governor Reeves’ office, those men are: Frank Bordeaux, John Dane III, Francis C. Lee, Bruce Martin, Johnny McRight, and Terry Reeves.

Frank Bordeaux is the current chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party. He is a Gulfport native who has also served on the Mississippi Flag Commission, the Mississippi Arts Commission and the Biloxi Businessman’s Club.  He is the Vice President of a Mississippi based insurance agency. He is a member of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, and Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi.

Terry Reeves is the father of Governor Tate Reeves. Gov. Reeves has said himself that his father is the reason he is the man he is today. Reeves is the owner and operator of Southern Air Conditioning and Supply.

Francis C. Lee is the CEO of Tower Loans which boasts 77 office locations across Mississippi. WLBT reported that Lee has been a longtime power player in Mississippi politics. He has also donated to campaigns of Haley Barbour and Michael Guest as well as other GOP members.

John Dane III serves as president and CEO of Trinity Offshore, LLC which includes two shipyards in operation building aquatic vessels such as patrol crafts, tug boats and oil skimmers. He is also president and CEO of Trinity Yachts, LLC, which is one of the world’s leading builders of mega-yachts. Dane represented the U.S. in the 2008 China Olympic Games in the Star class sailboat. He is also the majority owner of Gulfport, Ms-based United States Marine, Inc., which builds high tech patrol boats for the U.S. Navy and other navies around the world. Dane holds a B.S. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans.

Bruce E. Martin is a current board member of the Mississippi Public Universities. He was appointed by Gov. Phil Bryant in 2018 to represent the First Supreme Court District until May of 2027. He served on the Mississippi Community College Board for twelve years before serving on the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning. He has also served on the boards like the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, EDNET Board and Bully Bloc.

Jonny McRight owns and operates the company McRight Services, LLC which formats and manufactures a line of crop biostimulents which are sold around the world. McRight is also a member of the Washington County Economic Alliance, Mississippi Community College Board of Trustees and the Judges Approval Committee to name a few. He has ties to the University of Mississippi who created the McRight Biology and Speech Pathology Endowment in 2010.
