By: Sarah Ulmer - May 23, 2018

Mississippi’s Governor, Phil Bryant was among a group of governors selected to meet with President Donald Trump this week. The topic of discussion, border control.

President Trump said that America has some of the worst immigration laws in the entire world and he plans to work hard to have them changed.

The Governor thanked President Trump for the lives he is saving by making border security a priority. He mentioned the problems Mississippi faces when it comes to drug and human trafficking crossing the boarder and into the I-20 corridor. Gov. Bryant said putting in place strong border security and immigration laws will restore jobs to people that they once believed they would never get back due to immigrants who will work for less pay and no benefits.
