A career firefighter who previously served on the Southaven city board and an Army National Guard veteran are vying to fill an open seat on the Southaven Board of Aldermen. The election is Tuesday.
Ronnie Hale, 56, whose firefighting career as both a Memphis and Southaven firefighter spans more than 37 years, and Brandon Henley, 34, will square off to fill the seat vacated by former Southaven city alderwoman Shirley Kite.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. in Ward 2. Voters will cast ballots at the DeSoto County Justice Court building, located at 8525 U.S. Hwy. 51.
