Snowden: Fiscal health has long way to go

State Rep. Greg Snowden does this every year for local leaders to re-cap how the legislature appropriated state money and where it originates. He noted that Mississippi’s economy typically follows the nation’s, which is in a precarious position right now with very slow growth.

“It’s not just a Mississippi problem. It’s a national problem,” said Snowden. “Some states are doing better than others. We’re doing a lot better than some fiscally. But we’ve got a long way to go yet. And hopefully there’ll be some clarity after this coming election. I don’t see much is going to happen between now and November, no matter who wins.”
