Thompson campaign cited over finance report deadline

WASHINGTON – The Federal Election Commission cited Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson’s campaign committee Friday for missing a campaign finance filing deadline.

The FEC said Friends of Bennie Thompson failed to file its 12-day pre-primary election report by the Feb. 25 deadline. The filing covers Jan. 1 through Feb. 17. The primary is Tuesday.
