RELEASE:
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann issues Proclamation regarding the Presidential Preference Primary, as required by State law.
The Mississippi Democratic Party and the Mississippi Republican Party have notified the Secretary of State of their intent to hold Presidential Preference Primaries. The attached Proclamation sets every party’s Congressional and Senatorial first Primary Election to be held on March 8, 2016, and the second Primary, if necessary, to be held on March 29, 2016.
