SRHS retirees upset with high admin salaries; Jackson Co. Sup says drop lawsuits

By: Magnolia Tribune - September 22, 2015

High SRHS salaries, pension update stirs retirees

Six-figure salaries for Singing River Health System administrators and what’s left in the pension plan stirred retirees at the Jackson County Board of Supervisors meeting Monday.

But what set one man off was Supervisor John McKay’s comment that what needs to happen is for all the attorneys to get out of the issue.

“The lawsuits are holding up solving this thing,” McKay said, and the “quicker we can get lawyers out of it,” the sooner “all of us can get together and settle this thing so you can get as much money as possible.”
