‘Going for the jugular’ – Warnock to sue Mayor Mary
“By hiring a lawyer and filing a lawsuit, the real truth will come out,” Warnock said. “The whole story is going to take on a whole other picture.”
Butler alleged that Warnock had been paid $23 million by the Madison Board of Supervisors in the last seven years. Warnock said the projects given to him by the board are none of Butler’s concern.
“She may not agree with some of the projects that our clients choose to give us but that doesn’t make me a criminal,” he said. “Mary wants to control the county’s checkbook…It’s not enough for her to be the mayor of Madison, she wants to be the mayor of Madison County. She expects people to do what she says when she says do it and that is not me.”
