The McDaniel Hostage Crisis – Day 11 – CNN and payback #mchostage #mssen

By: Magnolia Tribune - July 5, 2014

We interrupt our coverage for a special report.

The 4th of July is just another day in the McDaniel universe. Day 11 of the McDaniel Hostage crisis started bright and early on CNN where McDaniel gave an interview where he basically said he had no control over what his supporters did (wink wink).

McDaniel continues to hedge and waffle about whether he will support and endorse Thad Cochran (the Republican nominee) if his yet to be filed challenge is unsuccessful. “I’m going to have to really think seriously after we get to the second phase of this if it comes to that,” he said.

During the interview, McDaniel let slip a little news. Politico reports that McDaniel says the campaign no longer has any campaign debt.

In the wide-ranging interview Friday, McDaniel vowed to keep fighting to preserve the “integrity of the election.” He also pushed back on allegations from the Cochran campaign that he was fundraising on the issue to pay off campaign debt.
“It’s not true,” McDaniel said of the accusation. “We don’t have any primary debt — not one dime.”

On the latest pre-runoff FEC filing, McDaniel still shows campaign debt (to himself) of $100,100. There appears to have been no filings that the debt had been paid off or forgiven since. McDaniel’s campaign did not respond to multiple press outlets seeking comment about the potential discrepancy.

That is an issue likely to flare up in the coming days inside the bunker in the Free State of Jones.

But don’t worry, this protest still has the capability to get even loonier. Apparently there’s a guy in Oklahoma that’s about to protest the Congressional election he lost because he believed that his opponent was in fact hanged in the Ukraine 3 years ago and replaced with a body double. Again, we’re crapping you negative.

Don’t forget that today is the Freedom Rally/Hee-Haw Jamboree on the steps of the State Capitol at noon.

That’s the way it was – Day 11 of the McDaniel Hostage Crisis.

Good day Mississippi – and good luck.
