While Democrats are vastly outnumbered in state-level offices, party officials told a local gathering Saturday that they hope to change that in 2015, and they’re stoking the base now in preparation for an election-year battle.
Speaking at the Pike County Democratic Executive Committee’s annual “Beans and Greens” fundraiser at the county fairgrounds, Rep. Bobby Moak of Bogue Chitto and state party chairman Rickey Cole said the party not only must unite, it should also strive to find converts.
