More Mississippi Media Outlets Try To Push Obamacare

Gov. Bryant’s mulishness costing state

It’s obvious that Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant erred terribly when he blocked Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney from setting up a state-run health-insurance exchange.

Bryant’s not just made it harder for the uninsured to get coverage, as required by Obamacare. He may also be costing them more when they do find it, according to an analysis published Sunday by The Clarion-Ledger of Jackson.

Chaney was unable to make Bryant listen that his fellow Republican was going to hurt the state’s residents by forcing them to use the federal government’s online marketplace for shopping for health insurance rather than letting Chaney’s office run a Mississippi-customized one. Chaney’s warning has come to pass.
