Mississippi’s Lt. Governor addresses legislative issues
Lt. Governor Tate Reeves stopped in Tupelo on Tuesday to speak with a group of young people at a leadership conference.
While there he spoke with WTVA about some of the goals he is working towards during his term, and of course one of them includes unemployment rates and the role government plays.
“I have a philosophy that government doesn’t create jobs,” says Reeves. “Government simply creates an environment which encourages the private sector to invest capitol and create jobs.”
Reeves says after a campaign visit to Mississippi presidential hopeful Mitt Romney had good things to say about what Mississippi is doing to decrease unemployment rates.
