Greenville’s financial conservatorship lifted
The financial conservatorship has been lifted from the Greenville Public School District.
State Auditor Stacey Pickering said Thursday the district has been under financial watch for the past two years and applauded the district’s efforts to improve its finances.
Superintendent Leeson Taylor II told the Delta Democrat Times (http://bit.ly/LkIpKG ) the district is moving forward.
For fiscal year 2011, the district had a general fund of more than $10 million, which is more than the state-mandated 7 perc
