Flaming Lips’ Jackson tour stop doesn’t disappoint
“All right, so where are we at?”
That’s how Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne greeted the crowd at Fondren’s Duling Hall this morning in Jackson.
But you can forgive him for not knowing where exactly he was. The 4 a.m. show in Jackson was the indie band’s fourth on an eight-city tour in their bid to set the Guinness World Record for most live concerts in different cities in 24 hours.
We won’t know until later today if they’re successful, but either way, the hundreds of us who packed Duling Hall got to witness something special.
