CL – Miss. to feel health care decision
While leaders in Washington say the U.S. Supreme Court’s highly anticipated ruling on health care won’t affect their plans, local experts are preparing for the decision’s possible effects on Mississippi.
Local industry professionals and health care advocates views differ, particularly because of cost – both financial and human.
“If the Affordable Care Act is not thrown out, then we will have approximately one out of three people in the state on Medicaid,” said Thomas Prewitt, a physician and senior manager in health care services for Horne CPAs and Business Advisors.
