Beer bill gets Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant’s OK
Mississippi craft beer enthusiasts today are toasting Gov. Phil Bryant for signing a bill that raises the alcohol by-weight limit in beer from 5 percent to 8 percent.
Senate Bill 2878, effective July 1, will allow more craft beers to be sold in the state.
Grass-roots group Raise Your Pints, which has long pushed for such legislation, immediately took to Twitter to share the news.
