The Southaven Board of Aldermen is asking for the resignation of Mayor Greg Davis who has been accused of misspending city funds.
The resolution passed on a 6-1 vote Friday.
Attorney Steve Farese in a statement to the board said Davis is taking personal time for medical treatment. Farese says he expects his client to be released from treatment in 30 to 60 days. He would not say where Davis was.
Farese did not comment on whether Davis would resign.
