Small Business Endorses Buck Clarke in Senate District 22 Race

By: Magnolia Tribune - October 20, 2011

JACKSON, October 19, 2011 — The National Federation of Independent Business, Mississippi’s leading small-business
association, has endorsed Buck Clarke in the 22nd district senate race.

The endorsement was made by NFIB/Mississippi SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised
exclusively of NFIB members, to support candidates who will consistently support small business with more than a

sound bite.

“Sen. Clarke understands the challenges facing Mississippi’s small, family businesses in their fight to survive and grow,
and is the clear choice in district 22 to sustain these job creators and community givers,” said Ron Aldridge, state director
of NFIB/Mississippi.

“We believe Sen. Clarke will continue to take a fiscally responsible approach to managing state government, oppose
excessive mandates, taxes and spending, and support legislation that helps our small businesses grow and create jobs and
put the state back on the pathway to success that benefits us all.”

The NFIB/Mississippi SAFE Trust’s endorsement is critical to the Buck Clarke’s campaign. Small business owners and
their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances
to go to the polls. NFIB has pledged it will activate its grassroots network on behalf of the campaign. NFIB’s political
support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small business issues.
