LSU QBs hope to keep up with Alabama’s Greg McElroy

“He makes few mistakes, ” LSU Coach Les Miles said of McElroy. “He makes all the throws, has talented targets to hit. We’re very respectful of his abilities.”
Said LSU defensive end Barkevious Mingo: “It’s his decision-making. He’s a smart quarterback. He doesn’t throw that many interceptions. He’s careful with the ball. We’ve got to pressure him and make him force bad decisions.”
It won’t be easy. McElroy has thrown only three interceptions in 194 passes. His 137 completions give him a 71-percent completion percentage with 1,781 yards and 11 touchdowns.
