Logic says Ole MIss should bounce back; but…
For Ole Miss, a win today represents a new start in November after a demoralizing stretch of three straight losses against top 20 competition. From here, the Rebels have a game at a 2-6 Tennessee team next week before closing with rivalry games against LSU and Mississippi State. None of the bowl eligibility math matters, though, without a win today.
But the Ragin’ Cajuns might have a tough time competing with Jacksonville State – which has risen to No. 2 in the FCS polls, by the way. Louisiana-Lafayette has lost four straight, including a 33-point loss to a previously winless Western Kentucky squad.
