Cam Newton’s father says any suggestion his son, family asked for money is `unfounded’

Cam Newton’s father said neither his son nor anyone in his family received money for the hotshot quarterback to play football at Auburn or Mississippi State last year.
“No. We have not. No sir,” Cecil Newton said Thursday night.
Cecil Newton said any suggestion to the contrary is “unfounded.”
