Notes on the Government’s Response To Zach Scruggs’s motion

The first thing to get out of the way in describing Zach Scruggs’s filing and the Government’s response is this: Zach Scruggs’s filing is an argument, Look, I am innocent. The Government’s response is a detailed enumeration of facts to show that he is not. Essentially, the Government is in large part about taking back the narrative.

When I read Zach Scruggs’s petition, I thought: He has one real point here, although it was sandwiched in with a lot of other material that didn’t make much in the way of winning points.
