LSU’s dim SEC hopes hinge on Alabama game

A quick refresher for those who still believe playing in the big, bad SEC isn’t all what you’d think: LSU has one loss, on the road against the No.2 team in the nation by one touchdown on a blown defensive assignment that allowed a scatback to run 70 yards for the game-winning touchdown. And unless we see a minor miracle, the Tigers have virtually no chance of winning the West Division title and playing in the conference championship game.
Remember that when arguing about unbeaten teams playing in the WAC and Mountain West – and, yes – the Pac-10.
“We put ourselves in this situation,” says LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson. “We have to make the best of it.
