College Football: Projecting the home stretch

Buzz: Florida’s win over Georgia knocked the Bulldogs out of the SEC East chase, which means that as long as Florida wins at Vanderbilt this Saturday, the division title will be decided when South Carolina visits Gainesville on Nov. 13. If Florida loses to Vandy, the Gamecocks would clinch the division if they beat Arkansas next week. Five teams technically are alive in the West, all but Ole Miss. Arkansas and Mississippi State each have two league losses and need to win out and get a lot of help to have a legit shot at the division title. Auburn is the only SEC team unbeaten in league play and, realistically, if Alabama wins at LSU next week, the division title would be on the line when Auburn visits Tuscaloosa on Nov. 26 in what would be one of the most eagerly anticipated Iron Bowls ever.
