Why is ‘just winning’ not enough for Tide fans?
Why, as fans, is it so important to us to play out all the possible scenarios before they even happen? I think we have a need to predict the future outcome because we want to brace ourselves for the disappointment that is sure to follow a loss, especially when playing at the upper end of the college football performance spectrum. Why do we so often overlook two important components of that; time and potential? Just like any given game, teams change over time. The minute things that affect those changes are far too numerous to mention in this space, but it is certainly a cause-and-effect that unfolds each minute of every game and every game of the season.
