Urban Meyer says he needs more out of passing game, QB John Brantley
Backing up Tim Tebow for the past three years, Brantley is getting his first real game experience as the starter this season. He had 113 yards passing in the opener vs. Miami (Ohio) despite dealing with 13 botched snaps.
A week later, he threw for 172 yards against USF.
“He’s gotta be a 200-plus yard passer. He’s doing a better job,” Meyer said after that win, noting that each week is a career high for Brantley. “We need more production, but I think his progress has been pretty good.”
